Our guest speaker will be Ron Dishman. Mr. Dishman spoke to us before outlining the formation of Clay County. He will be elaborating on that and will give us a presentation for Black History Month.
The next Second Harvest Mobile Pantry will be held on Friday, March 2nd at the Clay County Fairgrounds (Women’s Building). Truck is due around 8 am, volunteers should arrive between 8:30 and 9 am.
The Prime Timers have been a great help in making it possible for this Pantry. Your generous financial gifts have helped us on the way to meet the goal of $2500. www.celinaumc.org has a page set aside on the web site for the Second Harvest program. We have a link for making a donation as well as information about the statistics for the need in the county. Your help with donations and distributing food is very much appreciated.
Volunteers are still needed for the Moonshine Daze in May. Volunteers are also welcomed in the 3-Star program. Games and light refreshments. Our next meeting will be March 22, 2012. Come and bring a friend!
